The Magister of Accounting Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Tanjungpura University (MAKSI FEB UNTAN) is a master’s degree program focused on enhancing the professional competence of accounting practices. Established under Decree Number 117/E/0/2014 on 17 June 2014, PS-MAKSI has received an Excellence accreditation rating, as noted in Decree Number 4186/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/M/X/2023, valid until 22 March 2027.
The program welcomes graduates with bachelor’s and diploma IV majors from accredited universities. Participants must complete 54 credits, including a thesis, which can be finished in three semesters.
The learning outcomes of MAKSI aim to produce graduates who can work as accounting academics and researchers, accounting consultants, accounting experts, and bureaucrats. The curriculum is designed to meet the professional standards for accountants established by the International Education Standard from the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). This alignment ensures that graduates possess the necessary competencies while maintaining recognition from the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) and internationally for the competency of MAKSI alumni.
